Who is eligible to stay with Cinco Charities?
Patients and family members who seek treatment for a life threatening or critical illness. Patients who wish to stay must have a caregiver stay with them in the room at all times. All referrals MUST come from a Katy area (1) hospital or medical facility, (2) physician, or (3) service or community outreach organization. After the initial referral, patient may contact Cinco Charities directly to request services.

How long can we stay with Cinco Charities?
Provided there is a clear and present need, there is no limit to length of stay for guests of Cinco Charities. However, each application will be approved for a set number of nights. If additional nights are needed, a new application must be submitted. All services depend on the availability of hotel rooms in the area.

How do we get to Cinco Charities?
Since Cinco Charities has not yet built their private facility, directions to housing facilities will be delivered to applicants along with their approval.

What should we bring?
Bring any personal items that you will need and be prepared to plan for your meals. Most facilities have common area dining rooms or kitchenettes within the rooms, however, we cannot guarantee amenities for any stays.

Is Cinco Charities close to the hospitals?
Our offices are within a 10 minute drive of all Katy area Hospital facilities. Cinco Charities has contracted with local hotels and extended stay suites to house our guests. Each of these facilities are also within a 10 mile drive of all Katy area facilities.

Is there transportation to and from the hospitals?
At this time, Cinco Charities does NOT provide transportation to and from local hospital facilities. Affordable taxis and buses are available in the area.

What is your smoking policy?
Guests of CInco Charities are expected to follow the policies and guidelines set by the facilities in which they are staying.

Where do we park?
Each facility will have their own parking lot. None of the Katy area housing facilities currently charge for parking.

Are laundry facilities available?
The availability of laundry facilities will depend on the hotel in which you are booked. Most of our Katy area hotels do provide laundry services for a fee.

What are your daily guest fees?
It is the goal of Cinco Charities to never charge our guests for their stay - you have enough on your mind as it is. Donations however are always appreciated.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Since Cinco Charities has not yet built their private facility, check-in and check-out times may vary from one facility to the next. Times will be delivered to applicants along with their approval.

Does Cinco Charities provide medical services?
Cinco Charities does not provide medical assistance or home care services of any kind.
