Couple Pledges $1.5M for Patient Facility
A Katy-area couple in the middle of their battle with cancer has pledged $1.5 million to help build a new home-away-from-home for patients undergoing treatment for life-threatening illnesses. Announcement of the gift from Erin and Monty Ballard came Sept. 1, as supporters of Cinco Charities toured a three-bedroom Katy-area residence recently loaned to the volunteer organization by the same couple until a permanent facility can be built.

Cinco Charities Toasts Opening of First Starter Home
The First Starter Home “Open House” was hosted by homeowners Erin and Monty Ballard to announce the beginning of a new era for Cinco Charities®, the use of their home to temporarily house seriously ill patients in Katy. This is such an amazing gift of love, to offer the use of one of their homes to cancer patients while receiving their medical treatment as a way to relieve some of the burden and stress of lodging away from home.

Chicago Title Makes $2,150 Donation
KATY, TX, December 14, 2009 — Cinco Charities, Inc. is pleased to express their appreciation to Chicago Title of Katy for their generous cash donation of $2,150 in support of it’s mission. “We’re so excited to be among the five local charities that Chicago Title has included in their charitable giving program,” says Board Chairperson Ginger Hopper. “Chicago Title’s continuing support of Cinco Charities is a testament to their involvement in local community organizations and this donation comes at a great time… our Board has just approved an $8,000 budget to support four familes visiting our area for treatments!”
