KATY, TX, November 4, 2009 -- Cinco Charities, Inc. is pleased to express their appreciation to Sam's Club for their generous cash donation of $1,000 in support of it's mission. "We're delighted by this very generous donation," says newly elected Board Chairperson Ginger Hopper. "Sam's Club's support of Cinco Charities makes it possible for us to help more families in need in the Katy area."
In a presentation held at Sam's Club at 20424 Katy Freeway near Fry Rd. in Katy, Ken Karnopp, Marketing Team Lead for the store, presented the check to Board members Ginger Hopper, Chris Hiller, Lou Boxleitner, Brian Varvel, Becky Underwood and Gary Lamb, as well as Friends of Cinco Charities member Betsy Schauer.
The Grant was donated as part of Sam's Club's participation in Cinco Charities' inaugural Texas Hold 'Em Tournament held on October 23, 2009 at Villagio Town Center. The event raised nearly $12,000 to help families visiting Katy's medical centers for life threatening illnesses. Thank you Sam's Club!
