Cinco Charities, Inc., a local non-profit devoted to provided temporary housing for patients and their families, today announced that its inaugural Charity Texas Hold 'Em Tournament helped raise nearly $12,000 to support its mission and vision. The event marked the first of it's kind in Cinco Ranch and 100% of the night's proceeds go directly towards helping families in need in the Katy area. Over 125 players, individuals and local companies donated time, goods and personal money towards the October 23, 2009 event, making the fundraiser a smashing success!
The Evening's Grand Prize Winner was James Kincade, who walked away from the evening with a $1,500 travel package including a $500 Marriott Accommodations Certificate from Frontier Title, a $500 Southwest Airlines Travel Voucher from Trenton Mortgage, and a $500 Visa Gift Card from Firethorne.
Following up in 2nd place, was Rochelle Jones, who won a day Cruise for seven aboard Stewart Title's 51' Morgan Outlander including meals and drinks.
Our 3rd place winner was Paul Marsh, who walked away with his very own authentic Texas Hold 'Em Slot Machine compliments of our friends at Houston Slot Machines.
Cinco Charities wanted to give all of our guests the chance to win prizes, even if they weren't playing at the final table. Throughout the evening, over 40 door prizes were awarded to players and included everything from gift baskets to gift certificates. Since prizes were awarded via numbered tickets, we can't list the winners here, but congratulations to everyone who won!
Lastly, a raffle was held in unison with the Poker Tournament, and prizes were drawn for at 10:30 pm. 11 prizes in total were awarded, with the grand prize, a 42" Flat Screen Plasma TV going to Tina Kalafut. Congratulations to all the winners, listed below:
