The History of Cinco Charities

2004

Mo Anderson, Vice Chairman of Keller Williams International, challenged each and every Keller Williams broker, team leader, and agent to 'leave a legacy' in the communities in which they live. The local associates in Katy, Texas took this to heart. Cinco Charities, Inc. is the non-profit organization created and run by Keller Williams Premier Realty Katy associates and board member affiliates.

2005

Keller Williams Events/Project Committee - The committee met May 13, 2005. Present were Lou Boxleitner, Caroline Nicol, Gayle Huffman, Stacie Wright, and Becky Underwood. The purpose of this committee was to establish guidelines and procedures for the approval of events or projects for the office, community, and the agents. The committee reviewed two areas; (1) the promotion to others in the office for Individual participation in various organizations, events, or fundraisers and (2) the Office participation in various organizations, events or fundraisers.

2006

  • IRS 501(c)(3) status
  • Texas Franchise & Sales Tax Exemption
  • 1st Fundraiser – Keller Williams Golf Classic
  • Board was formed

2007

  • Hosted Second Keller Williams Golf Classic

2008

  • Joined NAHHH
  • Housed first patients with donations
  • Hosted First Wine Tasting Fundraiser
  • Hosted Third Keller Williams Golf Classic
  • Hosted Restaurant Night Fundraisers
  • Formed Friends of Cinco Charities

2009

  • Hosted Second Wine Tasting Fundraiser
  • Hosted Fourth Keller Williams Golf Classic
  • Hosted Restaurant Night Fundraisers
  • Grant from Sam's;
  • Donations from Chicago Title
  • Donations from Keller Williams Agents
  • Began the search for land or facility

2010

  • Annual Wine Event becomes Sip N Stroll
  • Hosted Fifth Keller Williams Golf Classic
  • Hosted Restaurant Night Fundraisers
